Happy New Year 2012!

Well, I survived through another crazy busy holiday season.  Thank you all for your continued patronage and to all my wonderful repeat customers that keep spreading the word about my products.  You all are wonderful!  I plan to develop some new molds for by bottles this year, so check back here or in my shop for some new stuff in the next few months.

I also wanted to let you all know that I am starting a new blog with some great info that will hopefully save you all some money as well as help you live healthier and happier. It's called frugaltips4livingwell.blogspot.com There are tons of coupon sites and blogs out there that try to save you money.  My new blog is different from those.  If you followed their advice, most of the food you would be buying would be highly processed food that honestly, would make you overweight, miserable, and likely make you very sick in the long run.  Don't get me wrong.  I do use coupons, but not for many of the yuck foods so many Americans consume far too much of.  I plan to share some great recipes, healthy tips and home remedies that I found work very well for my family and friends, some DIY projects, and little tips and tricks I do to help save money and time.  Some of this stuff is so easy, you will think to yourself, "Why didn't I think of that!"  Other stuff you might have been intimidated by and never tried before just because you didn't know just how easy it really was.

Hope you take the time to check it out, click around a bit, and make a comment or two. If you like what you see, please spread the word.  My friends have been encouraging me to do this for years.  I finally have taken the plunge.

Hope you have a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2012!

Upcycling for the Holidays

Business has been hopping this 2011 holiday season. Sorry I haven't had too much time to update this blog lately, but I guess in this case being too busy is a good thing. :o)

I have been recently featured on a great eco-friendly blog called Lynn's Mix in a feature called "Browsing Etsy for Upcycling." Check out the other interesting posts on Lynn's blog and great vintage glass and creative upcycled items she makes and sells in her Etsy store, also called Lynn's Mix.

I also want to send out a big "THANK YOU" to the numerous other great Etsians who have recently featured my items in their treasuries. There are too many of you to list individually, so here is a link that will pull up the list for you. :o) Etsy treasuries featuring items from Shifflett Studios. The "Holiday Decorating Outside the Box" treasury was even entered into an HGTV contest. Thank you for all the additional exposure my shop gets from all your hard and beautiful work! It is sincerely appreciated.

Best wishes to you and your loved ones for the holiday season & Hope you have a wonderful and prosperous New Year in 2012!
